We’ve put together some questions and answers that we think might help you plan your event, however, if you have any other questions then please do reach out to us – we’ll be happy to help!

  • How much do you charge? The price is dependant on a few factors including mainly the location of the event but also the day of the week and time of the year (we can offer great discounts for out of season months or midweek events) so it’s best to get in touch with us and we’ll give you all the information you need!
  • Do you have your own equipment? We bring all of our own fully PAT tested PA amplification equipment, so we’re self contained.
  • Do you require a stage? No! A stage is always good if there but it’s not at all necessary and we play from the floor most often!
  • Is there anything else I need to provide for the band? Regarding the technical things we just need 1 normal power socket close to where we’re performing from. Other than that we do ask to be fed & watered on the evening 🙂
  • How much space do I need for a ceilidh or barn dance? Unfortunately there isn’t an exact formula as all of the dances are very different and involve lots of movement! But we’re always able to work with the space available and are happy to look over any photos/floor plans/dimensions for you and give advice!
  • What is the difference between a Ceilidh and a Barndance? Not much! These days most people tend to mean the same thing, although sometimes when referring to a Barndance people are after an American ‘ho-down’ style dance or an Irish style dance and often when people say Ceilidh they’re looking for something Scottish! Our usual set-list is little bit of everything and includes dances from England, Ireland and Scotland. But we can tailor the evening and set-list to be whatever you’re looking for. If you want an Irish theme, Scottish or English just let us know!
  • What instruments are in the band? Our usual line-up is a 4-piece band of Caller and traditional instruments. Usually Caller, flute/fiddle, guitar and bodhran. However we can tailor the line-up to your request – we often get asked for an Accordion player so this is one of our most common alternative line-up options. Just let us know if you have a preference!
  • Is the band/caller use to working with beginners? Yes!
  • Is the band/caller use to working with an experienced group? Yes!
  • Will my guests and I have fun? Yes!
